Private Health Insurance
The Chinese medicine profession joined the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for the Health Profession in 2012. This is the same scheme that regulates doctors, physiotherapists, dentists, chiropractors, midwives etc.
Acupuncturists must now be registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) supported by AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) in order to offer acupuncture to the public and to be recognised by the Private Health Funds.
As Julia is a registered acupuncturist, we can in most cases swipe your private Health Fund card in which case you will only have to pay the gap.
